Absolutely. I'm 52, boy did I have it hard, but my elders had it far, far, harder. But, step by step, things improved, to a point where we achieved everything we hoped for. Then, in the last few years it all started to fall apart. Yes, all of us now need to step up.

When I first started going to gay bars, occasionally people would bring in these emaciated gay men in wheelchairs. They wanted to see the bar they had frequented and reminisce about all the happy times they had there. You knew they had not long to go. Heartbreaking.
