@LeaderElixir We have a good chat about it. We discussed the Dunning Kruger effect, talked about decision making develops with time and expose, building those type 1 and type 2 decision making strategies.

@LeaderElixir Ah bless you Jane thank you. They are a privilege to teach, and to be honest they are putting in so much time, effort and the sacrifices they have to go through. Least I can do is give them as much time and value to be the best they can be. Cheesy but true!

@robertgmason I’m reading a couple of books around the topic at the moment. What I’m currently working on is when I feel emotion is playing a part, I become aware of it, take a step back, think why am I feeling this and think of a better solution that involves logic rather than emotion.

@LeaderElixir Thanks Jane, appreciate the feedback. Building relationships looks so easy but actually complex and time consuming. Time to play the long game.

@TheJohnCMaxwell The gains of leadership aren’t gains for yourself other than the satisfaction of watching others become a better version of themselves.

@The_Fox_Lion That’s a great point, you could be the best employee but if your boss has concerns or doesn’t trust you, then you are limiting yourself and the team’s mission. Therefore your ego against your boss is effecting the team and the vision you are wanting to achieve.

@Jthom1236 I saw this picture and thought the same thing. I still think it’s missing a lot of stuff but just shows the complexity of good leadership.
