Talk that shit big dawg @bykevinclark
"In my mind, it makes them the favorite. They're going to win the eastern conference." @bykevinclark feels the Magic will win the Eastern Conference after getting Desmond Bane 👀

Great for Orlando, who save half what they would’ve paid on team option. Mo gives the Magic their edge + a vital bench scorer. As far as for Moritz, he wants a bigger contract. He made it clear in that documentary. I expect Orlando to continue to prioritize him at market value.
Free agent forward/center Moe Wagner has agreed to a one-year, $5 million deal to return to the Orlando Magic, sources tell ESPN. Wagner's agent, Jason Glushon, reached the new contract with Magic executives on Friday.

Tyus Jones has recorded 1655 assists and only 277 turnovers over the last 4 seasons while shooting 40% from beyond the arc.

Do you even play Goga/Isaac if you’re staggering Paolo or Franz? It’s a bit of weird fit. Part of me thinks you commit to just one of Isaac or Goga, although both serve solid purposes defensively. Isaac more versatile, and cutting weight could return him to DPOY-potential.

I’m slightly concerned about scoring off the bench while Moritz is out (assuming we re-sign him). I’m not as concerned as long as Mosley staggers one of Paolo, Franz, Bane at all times. Goga/Isaac combo also begs for JI to improve his three-point shooting, or just deal one.

Only flaw will be his defense. Orlando should have plenty to make up for it though. He’s a solid guard to pickup starter minutes in case Suggs misses time, and already has experience playing with Bane.

Love this move. Orlando adds play making and three-point shooting with Tyus. He led the league in assist to turnover ratio from 2019 to 2024, and is averaging 40% from three the last four seasons.
Free agent guard Tyus Jones has agreed to a one-year, $7 million deal with the Orlando Magic, sources tell ESPN. Magic officials negotiated the deal with Jones' agent Kevin Bradbury of LIFT Sports Management, which gives Jones a key role for the East contenders.

Stretch bigs off the table now, other than Myles Turner who I imagine is re-signing with Indiana. Plenty of shooters still available at other positions, we’ll see who Orlando adds.
Free agent center Brook Lopez has agreed to a two-year, $18 million deal with the Los Angeles Clippers, sources tell ESPN. Clippers and Lopez's agents at Wasserman negotiate a new deal for the 2021 Bucks champion to exit Milwaukee and land in Los Angeles.

I think getting some three-point shooting in the front court is important for the Magic in free agency. There’s virtually no spacing provided there for Paolo and Franz, the closest it gets is Wendell (23% last season, 35% the three seasons prior). Bobby Portis? Brook Lopez?
