Based on personal experience, 99% of Democrats are incapable of carrying on a political conversation without name calling and making demeaning remarks REGARDLESS of the fact that I treat them with respect, ask legitimate questions and don't judge them for holding opinions which are morally different than my own. Are you a Democrat? Prove me wrong. I dare you.

@MatuaKahurangi It's amazing to me that more Maori can't see that they are getting screwed by the people who claim to be their saviours.

Another great post from Matua, pointing out the real truth behind the Iwi money grabbing.
Where Is the Iwi? Asking for a Struggling Mฤori It's 2025, another year, another multi-million-dollar payout to our beloved Iwi leadersโbecause nothing says "uplifting the tangata" quite like a freshly imported Ford Raptor cruising through Moerewa while Auntie Hinemoa is boiling Maggi 2-Minute noodles on a butane stove outside her car. Ngฤpuhi, Iโm looking at you. The countryโs largest Iwi, still sitting on a settlement payout that never seems to settle anything. Have you taken a stroll through Kaikohe lately? The vape shops are booming, the liquor stores have queues before sunrise, and the local meth dealer is running a more successful business model than half the Mฤori trusts combined. And yet, we have whฤnau living in tents down the road, behind the park, wondering if the Iwi is actually just a myth. "Sorry Cuzzie, No Money for You, Weโre Too Busy Being Wealthy!" I recently read about a Mฤori woman who just needed a little over $1,000 to feed mourners at her ex-husbandโs tangi. WINZ, in all their bureaucratic wisdom, paid for the casket but told her she should personally fund the kai. Now, call me old-fashioned, but in a culture where manaakitanga is sacred, surely someoneโanyoneโfrom the Iwi could have stepped in? With the number of farms and assets our tribal corporations own, would it really have been that hard to chuck a pig or a beast on the back of one of those shiny Land Cruisers and drop it off? Apparently, yes. Because while the Iwi can easily mobilize lawyers and consultants when itโs time to demand more cash from the Crown, when it comes to actually supporting their struggling people, suddenly the signal drops, and all you get is voicemail. Mฤori Parliament? Bro, We Canโt Even Run a Budget We keep hearing about the need for Mฤori self-governance. About setting up our own parliament. About breaking free from the colonial shackles of the New Zealand government. And sure, tino rangatiratanga sounds fantasticโuntil you realize our current "leaders" canโt even manage their own backyards. Northland is overflowing with homelessness, addiction, and violence, and while personal responsibility is definitely a factor, where are the Iwi-funded rehab centers? Where are the job programs? Where is the actual investment in the people? I'll tell you where the money is, broโsitting in the driveways of the Iwi executives, parked up in the form of brand-new SUVs and flash as houses. Time to Stop Funding the Mฤori Elite Letโs be real: The Iwi is always the first to criticize the government for failing Mฤori, but when thereโs money on the table, theyโre the first in line, hands outstretched. And then what? Fancy conferences? More reports? Another feasibility study? A hui with a catering bill in the thousands. Apart from funding the lifestyles of the elite Mฤori at the top of the Te Ao Mฤori pyramid, where are these millions actually going? If the Iwi want to talk about sovereignty, mana, and looking after their own, they need to start by cleaning up their backyard. Because right now, itโs not tino rangatiratanga. Itโs just tino rich Mฤori looking after themselves. And the rest of us Mฤori folk? Weโre just waiting in line at the liquor shop, wondering if anyone at the top actually gives a damn.

There is no such thing as Pakeha. Kiwis are not outsiders. We all have racial origins which have now become a melting pot. Why is it so hard for people to cherish their ancestry and celebrate their mixed cultures without choosing ONE RACE to represent?! This is just a huge grift funded by the government to divide us. No one is a purebred any longer. That stopped 100 years ago when Kiwis started intermingling. Maori don't even believe in DNA tests.

@piersmorgan "Hate speech" is a political ideology brought about by the Left to try to control the Right.

@SimonRAnderson That's a great way to invite all of the corruption that is being filtered out of America into NZ. Looks like it's about to get a lot worse for NZ before it gets better.

@the_salty_one_ Is there a reason NZ still needs a treaty with people who lost a war 200 years ago, who have had multi-generational family who have already been "integrated" into society?

@GayRepublicSwag Adults are allowed to make adult decisions for themselves. It's not up to us to judge others. I find this very difficult to explain to others who don't believe in God because they truly believe it is up to them to make judgements about others.

That's interesting feedback. Not the first time I've heard that from someone from South Africa. I wish I could say that it set off alarm bells with NZ government, but they remain deaf to reality. I know some good people from South Africa in both NZ and USA who gave worked very hard to rebuild their lives. I'd hate to see you all be forced to start over again.
