Minor league players are not interns. They are not seasonal workers. They do everything a big leaguer does, aside from enjoy the union power and league status. Denying them minimum wage via pork bill stuffing is insulting and a gross use of legislative power.

I remember sitting with Bautista during MLB spring training with the Jays, both of us more or less roster fillers. I'd come from the Padres, he from the Pirates. We were both ego-free at the time, just happy to be in consideration. He was a multi-position bench backup.

I simply cannot express to you, in any medium, how much I respected Roy Halladay. I'm still reeling from his loss. He was a hero to me, even if I never got to tell him that directly; he was a hero and an inspiration, and I'm so incredible sad he's gone...

Anthony Bass got cancelled. I don't agree with his belief, but also don't agree with canceling. I liked the personal conversation track that was 1st taken. Real dialogue + real people w/ different views is a lost art. Forced belief change or else punishment never changes minds.

I was a garden variety RHP. I watched him hit and play defense that spring. I remember this leaping catch he made on a line drive... I thought to myself, "if he's on the bench in the big leagues, I have no earthly business being here." When his bat broke out, I was relieved😅

I'm 39 today. What a curious time to be alive. I'm locked down, but with people I love. I'm unemployed, but soaking up quality time with my wife and son (age 2). The world is still spinning, double cheeseburgers still exist, and we have cake.
