Account dedicated to Noah's roots in The Four Pillars of Wrestling (Mitsuharu Misawa, Kenta Kobashi, Akira Taue & Toshiaki Kawada) and Baba, Tenryu & Tsuruta.
Kenta Kobashi grew a beard after losing to Vader in their first singles match, it would remain a symbol to never forget his regret and to atone for the loss as soon as possible.
Genichiro Tenryu has been readmitted to hospital only about a month and a half after suffering septic shock amongst other issues. Tenryu is once again having symptoms that have necessitated admission, but fortunately none are life threatening and he is conscious and able to talk.

Probably the ultimate in depth book on Mitsuharu Misawa’s early years to All Japan in 1998. I am going to try to get a copy and make it an ongoing project to translate as much as I can.
Mitsuharu Misawa on his wedding day. For his younger roster, Baba kept money put aside that could be used for a down payment when they wanted to buy their first home.
After his parents divorced, Kenta Kobashi and his mother moved to an old rundown tenement style house which was so badly eaten by termites, he used to fall through the stairs. The first floor was just as bad. He vowed he would build a big house for his mother to live in one day.
Jun Akiyama decided to become a pro wrestler when he was travelling home one night on the subway and saw a businessman slumped asleep in his suit, snoring and drooling, and in true Akiyama style decided that he didn't want to live that way.
When Jumbo Tsuruta made his single New Japan appearance, he expected to be booed. Instead, the crowd were chanting “Tsuruta-OH! Tsuruta-OH!” as soon as his theme music hit
Mitsuharu Misawa said that when he was about 23, he used to go shopping in Ginza, and because he was a young man the store clerks would tell him to do his best (in life, studies etc). Misawa, knowing that no one had any idea that he was Tiger Mask II at that time, said he would.
Toshiaki Kawada revealed that Mitsuharu Misawa had said that if Noah didn't work out, he would open a Ramen shop. Kawada (who says he practically sunk three Mercedes into his restaurant and cancelled his life insurance), laughed and said "Misawa-san, it's not that easy".
The Great Kabuki serves a dish named after Dory and Terry Funk at his restaurant, it's called"Dory Terry-yaki" and consists of grilled chicken with barbecue sauce

Drank three packets of protein drinks and went home.
All Japan announced that Mitsuharu Misawa's eye injury was due to a match, but fans heard rumors that he and Toshiaki Kawada got into a bar brawl. Genichiro Tenryu years later said that truth was that he and Kawada had gotten into a fight with each other.
Kenta Kobashi said that many pro-wrestlers don't get the chance to retire, he recognised that he had been given that chance, and so he took it. He wanted it to be an example to his juniors, and so he never broke it, he promised both Baba and Misawa that he would stick to it.
As a young wrestler on the undercard, Kenta Kobashi knew that his matches didn’t stand a chance of getting on to TV. So, he asked one of the commentators to comment on both his matches and his practice, and it was arranged that these would be put onto VHS & sent to his mother.
Mitsuharu Misawa had a dream to open a restaurant when he retired, Kawada and Taue did just that. Kobashi's retirement dream was to open a gym, which he opened in 2018. His younger pupil, Go Shiozaki, works as a personal trainer there (Kobashi says he is very strict).
Genichiro Tenryu is doing well. His symptoms have subsided, he’s been discharged back to his original hospital and is working on getting back to being able to attend ringside at The Tenryu Project.
