Little bit annoyed with my D school tonight. They had a class discussion about Israel / Gaza . The teacher stated Hamas was a activist group . My D put her hand up and said they were terrorists. Others in class supported . They were threatened with behaviour points and detention.
After a long drive in the rain I made it home to my fathers house .
It’s coming up to the first anniversary of his passing .
My childhood was spent riding along such bridleways and across moors . Jumping stone walls gates and rails .
Bonjour
A year since I lost my father
3yrs I lost both my parents
Don’t take your parents for granted
What I would give for a moment of their company or wisdom , sound of their voice or just a hug . I hate anniversaries and it doesn’t get easier.
Horse travelled home last night after a successful day despite the extreme very deep muddy conditions. We were in contention for a podium finish but it was not to be . Now qualified up a level which is good 🏇
Morning walk with my dog listening to one of my favourite pieces of music ‘The Swan ‘ by Saint~Saën

John Le Mesurier wrote his own death notice in The Times which read: “John Le Mesurier wishes it to be known that he conked out on November 15th. He sadly misses family & friends.” Before he fell into a coma his last words were reported to have been “It’s all been rather lovely.”

Though as I’m sure you remember when we were young we did the polar opposite to the older generation. Hence my daughter hates vegan food and anything she calls ‘ Wokery Pokery ‘ bollocks … her generation is sick of it and can see through the BS.

Law & Order
AR seem to think it’s acceptable to flout law & order when they disrupt events and societies everyday life .
Enforcing their POV on the general public putting people and animals lives at risk and trespassing. Then complain when law & order is enforced .
‘ Bees blew like cake-crumbs through the golden air, white butterflies like sugared wafers, and when it wasn't raining a diamond dust took over which veiled and yet magnified all things’
Laurie Lee, Cider with Rosie
Tough morning we say goodbye to my daughters faithful horse . Whose been her best friend through the loss of my mother and lockdown . He’s going to a super home and hopefully we’ll see him in the field horsing around in Autumn .
Watching Michael Parkinson at 50
talking about his father and working down the pit .
Juxtaposed with his interview x2 with Lauren Bacall.
Made me smile and tear up.
What a lovely understated intelligent utterly charming man.
Don’t make them like that anymore.

Wasn't feeling my best over the weekend realised it will be 5 years that I lost my mother and 3 years since I lost my father.
It's so hard flying solo it creeps up on me when I least expect it
LR was a little annoying again a very flat tyre yesterday. Just as I had to go on the school run 😞
Thank goodness I always have an air pump . Meant a 6 am start today to get the spare on made it to tennis . .
Wonderful garage sorted everything turned out to be a just screw.
I revisited ‘Brideshead Revisited’ this week.
Memories of my mother came flooding back . It’s been a hard week . I’ve missed her wisdom and advice. It feels like an age since I last saw her . My memories are fading as if she was never here on this earth .
