I would also like to see how Cymbalta compares. Cymbalta has become my preferred med for neuropathic pain based on my clinical experience. Many of my non athlete TOS patients (especially females) have other associated neuropathic pain and I’ve found Cymbalta to work well.

Thanks to @ASMI_INFO for having me yesterday to speak at the Andrews Injuries in Baseball Course on my favorite orthobiologic topic. We have a lot of ground to gain in improving RTP times for athletes after acute muscle injury and PPP will play an important role (IMO).

Case in point. Just published in @jbjs. Negative PRP trial for GTPS. No reporting of or discussion of platelet concentration/dose. Makes the paper wildly inadequate regardless of very good study design. This is a failure of peer review.
Just published in AJSM. Similar findings to those already published by @WBerriganMD and @ZachBailowitzMD. Platelet concentration/dose influences outcomes! As you read the literature make sure you take note of platelet dose in the pos/neg PRP trials.

If new PRP publications do not report platelet concentration/dose and/or if they do not touch on platelet dose in the discussion, then that paper is likely trash regardless of whether it was a well designed study. Garbage in/garbage out.
