There is some nuance: - Establish your team in childhood (usually local/regional teams or dad's allegiance) - Between 16-22, you should be able to re-evaluate (not because a team sucks but maybe your dad's brainwashing had you picking a team that you don't actually like) - If you move to a new city or your town gets an expansion team, you should be able to root for the home town team in order to be a part of the local community (but ideally, they would be your backup team and in a different league as your main team) - You can't just switch teams because you like a player or a team starts winning

There’s no way the engagement on accounts like this is organic. It’s bot farms, and I’d bet if you looked at their payouts, they’d be minuscule compared to what you’d expect based on engagement.
