That is the point. They are supposed to look like the base models while supporting unusual effects like other war paints, so that way you can run around with an "unpainted" Scattergun with Isotope and people will think it is a bug.

If they are depicting cropped loli porn, I could understand, but this is like complaining about Idolmaster in Ace Combat. You can't see custom skins other people are using in game. You'd have to stalk around online, waiting to see if someone using that skin killed you.
