In "Mixed Media" for ages 5-8 young artists have fun and learn to work in a variety of media, including acrylic paint, markers, watercolor, tempera, colored pencil, collage, and oil pastels. Begins Jan 24.

Each 4-week "Portraiture with a Model" session features a clothed portrait model. There is no instruction. Students may bring the medium of their choice. Begins Jan 10.

Virtual "Evening Oil Painting" with Andrea Gianchiglia begins Jan 9. Students will learn the basic skills needed to paint in oils with particular attention to the use of color, light, shadow, composition, brush handling and materials.

"Afternoon Oil Landscape" begins Jan 10. This course enables students to explore their own creativity and the process of oil painting, emphasizing the elements of composition, light, color and accurate representation of form.

"Pottery" for ages 9-11 begins Jan 23. Students will experience first hand the magic of transforming clay into vessels as they are challenged artistically to discover their relationship with the wheel and clay.

Understand the "Power of Pastels!" In this class students will learn how to work with several pastels, surfaces and techniques. A range of subject matter will be addressed such as still life, landscape, animals, and more. Meets Jan 9.

Our Holiday Card workshop meets Dec 9. We will create original card designs and discuss sources for printing high quality copies of your creations. Bring your favorite medium - watercolor, acrylics, gouache - and heavy paper.

Join illustrator Lena Shiffman for "Artist Studio: Your Choice." Pick your favorite medium for painting or drawing from your own photos, or still life. The instructor will work with students to improve their drawing and painting skills. Meets Jan 9.

Virtual "Portrait Drawing" class begins Jan 8. Students will learn how to create a likeness through observation. The structure of the human head, proportion, facial features, and rendering form will be covered.

"Morning Wheel and Hand Building" meets Jan 10. This class introduces both wheel throwing and handbuilding techniques step-by-step, opening the way for individual expression and success in clay.

Learn to paint in "Beginner Watercolor" - a medium known for its translucence and ability to portray light. This class will cover the materials and tools commonly used, and basic techniques. Begins Jan 11.

"Introduction to Needle Felting" begins Jan 22. In this class, we will discuss the history and science of needle felting to better understand the craft, and create both 2D and 3D art from natural wool.

In "Virtual iPad Drawing & Painting," students will learn the many techniques of creating fantastic digital works of art on an iPad. Begins Jan 17.

"Introduction to Writing" with Jamie Fiore Higgins begins Jan 22. In this six-week course, you will discover the writer within you. No writing experience is necessary!

"Beginner Wheel Throwing" begins Jan 13. Beginning students will start with basic throwing techniques and progress with each students’ needs. We will work with stoneware and electric fire to cone 6 making all work microwave and dishwasher safe.
