I watched
#Wonka
yesterday and I loved it. It was a delightful time at the movies. I didn’t expect it to be this good. The production design is so beautiful, the songs so catchy, and Timothée Chalamet is a rave in the role. I have learned that Paul King doesn’t disappoint.

is second chances. Doing the right despite past mistakes. As Newt puts to Albus… trying. This theme concludes in a spectacular way in the brief rematch between Albus, Aberforth and Grindelwald - with Albus doing what he couldn’t for Ariana!

Queenie/Jacob ’ll remain crucial as they defy GG’s ideology. Their union was forbidden and now they’d a secret wedding. They’ll have children, foreshadowed by GG’s line that “they’d weaken wizarding blood”. Might be a big plot point, mirroring the struggles in the second movie.

I don't think it's coincidence he's being revealed as a second Dumbledore with an obscurial. There's more to come. JKR's slow narrative release in play here. This is just the turn of the compositional ring for him.

Credence, like it or not, is the central figure of FB. He won’t die yet. Mirroring the 2nd movie, he’ll learn more about his identity. He’ll be nurtured by the Dumbledores, in contrast to GG’s abuse and destruction in the first 2 movies. Tycho Dodonus might be mentioned again.

So, I love the deleted scene in Newt’s house with the brothers signing. I also really like the bits with the wand checking in the German ministry and Vogel in Nurmengard. I wouldn’t say they’re essential but great bits!

These all personal guesses, but I'm seeing folks panic over the perceived closed-ended nature of SOD and I think that's a misunderstanding of how JKR composes her stories. This movie was always meant to connect with FB1 and FB5, meanwhile FB2 connects with FB4.

The Scamanders have grown so much since the first movie. Newt went from removing himself off the conflict to a soldier. Theseus became his own man, away from the rigidity of the ministry. It’s like they met at the middle - learning from the mistakes that cost them Leta.

PS: I still think Tycho Dodonus is valid. Credence's the son cruelly banished, sharing the (obscurial) despair of the daughter (Ariana), who'll return from near-death as a great avenger (of Dumbledores?) with wings from the water (perhaps phoenix tears or something else).

It’s heavily implied in Deathly Hallows that Dumbledore was gay, and that he and Grindelwald were more than friends. Just look at the quote below, anyone who’s reading attentively can get to that conclusion. Retcon my ass, it’s always been in the text. Haters just don’t read.
