I have seen
#TheFlash
& I absolutely loved it.
It is incredibly entertaining from beginning to end. It’s not just another summer blockbuster with stellar action, it has a tremendous amount of heart to back it all up. This is the film DC & fans have needed for years.
Well done.
All right, I’ll eat my words on this one.
I enjoyed Blue Beetle. The story worked for me and Xolo as Jaime was stellar. Lots of great action too and the suit is absolutely beautiful.
Good stuff, better than I expected.
Round 2 with the Flash was great, I stand by my original review in May. I still love it. However, I do prefer the ending in the CinemaCon version. That’s just my opinion.
It’s still my favorite Batman film and, imo, the best superhero origin film. I went to the midnight IMAX showing and it was absolutely spectacular. It’s about as close to flawless as I think you can get.
Begins is the bar for me.
Happy
#BatmanDay
folks!
Although fans can often disagree about which version is their favorite, one thing we all agree on is our love for the character. I mean, he’s got his own day and stuff, y’know? That’s pretty cool.
Round 2 with
#TheBatman
was even better, I was totally captivated for a second time. I am comfortable saying it’s tied with Batman Begins for my favorite Batman film so far. It delivers on aspects I’ve always wanted in a Batman film and doesn’t sacrifice anything in the process.
Rewatched X-Men: Days of Future Past last night.
What an absolute gem of a film. This isn’t one of the X movies I rewatch that often but every time I do I’m reminded of just how much I enjoy it. The meeting of the two Xaviers is such a cool scene and the ending was perfect, imo.
Just my two cents but I’m excited to see those new characters in Superman: Legacy. Superman should be the center of the DCU & it makes sense to me that the world be built around him. I also think Gunn is aiming for something like the Timmverse.
Let him cook.
I watched Bones & All last night and I loved it.
What an outstanding film! Everything about it is absolutely top notch & I loved the way the subject matter was handled. It’s just creepy enough. I didn’t think I’d ever end up emotionally invested in cannibals but here we are.
@colliderfrosty
I think a lot of fans are just defensive in general because too many reviewers and bloggers openly put them down for enjoying these films.
If you can’t review a film without picking on the director as a human or their fans no matter how enthusiastic they are, maybe you shouldn’t be the one writing that particular review.
I checked out the Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare last night.
I thought it was awesome! I enjoyed the story, all of the action, and loved the cast. Henry Cavill is an absolute blast in it, specifically. It is another solid film from Guy Ritchie, imo.
Everyone is absolutely entitled to their opinions. I have no issue with that whatsoever. What always catches my eye though is the constant desire for an entire genre to die. I don’t understand how that helps Hollywood or any of these actors, writers, directors, etc.
I know I praise Superman & Lois every chance I get but man, this week was truly sensational. I absolutely loved so much about it. I just think there is so much good in this show episode after episode.
After watching Batman v Superman tonight with my pals from
@letsgocomicshow
, I think have a new appreciation for it. I enjoyed it a lot more than I did before. The 3 hour version should’ve been the one to hit theaters.
A little boy, probably around 10, randomly came up to me today at a park and asked me why vampires die in the sunlight but not the moonlight considering the rays are just a reflection. He knew he was onto something. Then, he just ran back to his mom.
That kid is going places.
Just watched Oppenheimer and my main takeaways are…
- Absolutely phenomenal cast.
- Beautiful and simultaneously haunting.
- I want to watch it again.
This is one of Nolan’s best. Easily.
Longlegs is incredible.
For me, it lived up to the hype. Maika Monroe & Nicolas Cage both absolutely kill it, the latter is truly a beast in this. The film is disturbing & somehow leaves you with a gross feeling when the credits start rolling.
I want to watch it again. Soon.
I enjoyed
#WonderWoman
quite a bit but I do have a few issues with the pacing and the overall way some things are handled. The good definitely outweighed the bad by far though.
I also liked the tone a lot, I think it falls somewhere between Aquaman and Shazam which I love.
Giancarlo Esposito would prefer not to be in a Wheelchair if chosen to play Professor X:
“The physical idea of being in a wheelchair every single day does not appeal to me.”

I have finally seen Jaws.
Lemme tell ya, that Spielberg fella is going to be a big star one day. The movie totally lived up to the hype and I get the universal love now. It’s fantastic and something I’ll definitely revisit.
Quint is my hero, RIP buddy.
I like the way the suit looks. I dig the colors specifically. I think David looks great and Metropolis under attack in the background is really cool. It’s a teaser but…
I don’t think THIS is the photo I would’ve used for the reveal.
Saga is an absolutely wild comic to read. I wasn’t prepared for the weirdness but I love it. I’m gonna hold off on reading the new stuff until I fully catch up though.
Just rewatched Blade.
I haven’t seen it in it’s entirety in a while and I think it still holds up incredibly well. Wesley Snipes is perfect as Blade and Dorff’s Frost is just classic. It’s a great blend of horror, action, and personality that hits all the right notes for me.
Just got home from
#JurassicWorldDominion
.
I enjoyed it a lot! There was plenty of cool dinosaur stuff, it was awesome seeing the casts come together, and I think it was just a fun flick. Plus, it brought back the dilophosaurus which makes it fantastic by default.
#NoTimeToDie
was truly spectacular and Daniel Craig gives a fantastic final performance as
#JamesBond
. Everything in it is top notch from the wonderful character work to the action, there’s so much going for it. The runtime flies by too. This film was completely worth the wait.
Denis Villeneuve still has sleepless nights over 'Blade Runner 2049' - "I don’t think I will ever approach someone else’s universe again. I still wake up sometimes at night, saying, 'Why did I do that?'"
Was I stuck in a store during a tornado warning earlier? Yes, yes I was.
Did I also buy another
#Batman
hat while stuck in that store? Absolutely.
It’s like a balance.
Rachel Brosnahan praises the
#SupermanLegacy
table read and says "it was amazing to hear the script out loud...to hear the pacing of the film."
“I have always loved Lois Lane. She’s smart, ambitious and can be funny...we’re still finding these characters. You’ll meet the final
It’s sorta surreal that the Flash is finally finished & will be screened tomorrow. At times, it felt like this movie just wasn’t going to happen or could’ve possibly ended up being scrapped. What a journey.
Now it’s nearly here & it looks great which is pretty cool if ya ask me.
Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow lived up to the hype and then some. It’s excellent from the beginning to its amazing conclusion. Tom King and Bilquis Evely absolutely nailed it.
Kevin Conroy will always be the voice of Batman for generations of fans. He delivered a solid performance any time he got near the recording mic. His iconic performances will live on and surely create and entertain new fans.
Time for me to rewatch Mask of the Phantasm.
