Dear Golfers, It's been a long season, we still need your help fixing your ballmarks. If your putting is still so bad that you feel like taking a divot out of our greens, bowling season starts this week. It might be time for a change. Thanks! The Maintenance Team
For the people who called me out about posting an employee’s screw up while mowing , get over it. If you work at a golf course, every day isn’t perfect. I post real golf course shit. If you want sunrise pictures every day, don’t follow me.
For the younger guys in the business. I was a bad father when my kids were small and a worse husband. Divorce changed me and my kids’ lives. I learned to be a Dad and embraced it. My oldest just got his Masters and my youngest is getting married in the fall. It’s never too late.
So you want to be a superintendent? On call 24/7, no matter the weather it’s your fault, greens speeds, cart traffic, mentoring kids who don’t want to get up, motivating an entire crew daily. Getting to see the sun come up every day. Still the best job. Love it.
Dear Golfers, Watch the Masters please. You are seeing enormous ballmarks on the approach shots in November. Do you see them when they putt? Nope. Please fix yours. Thanks! The Maintenance Team
Golfers, we are short staffed due to the current regulations. We humbly need your help. Fix your ballmarks, replace your divots, keep your garbage and somewhat, lower your expectations. Help us help you. Thanks, the Maintenance Staff.
As GC Superintendents we are constantly in pursuit of perfection that’s unattainable. Then the Masters is played. ANGC is perfect. We get judged. Repair your divots and ballmarks, you can help us help you.
Scott Dodson CGCS at Park CC successfully received a kidney selflessly donated by Brian Conn CGCS at Transit Valley CC. I’m proud of my brothers and my profession. Get tested as a donor or at least fill out the donor portion of your license. You can make a difference.
I’m down 3 employees, 1 no call, no show, 1 injured and 1 leaving for the military. I’m now mowing fws, changing cups, fueling carts and doing ch work. I wouldn’t have it any other way. This is what we do.
During the Arnold Palmer Invitational 8 years ago I wrote a heartfelt note to Mr Palmer thanking him for his contribution to golf and grateful that I could make a living taking care of golf courses. I also stressed that I didn’t want a response. Well..
When it’s 75 and sunny and you’re riding around the course you always hear “I wish I had your job!” They’re never here at 38° with drizzle, knee deep in mud.
After 30 years I’m a relatively successful golf course superintendent. The only thing my neighbors know about me is that I grow dandelions, clover and plantains really well.
I salute
@TigerWoods
for playing in the “pain that he has 24/7”. Just remember that there are a lot of everyday people doing their jobs the same way. Trust me.
Why aren’t golf course superintendents sponsored? I need a boot, shirt and hat sponsorship. It would be cheap and hit a huge audience. C’mon

The best part about being a GC Superintendent is being the first in your neighborhood to cut your lawn. Smiles from the wives and middle fingers from the husbands.
Mom isn’t allowing pictures, so here’s the dinner I made for her. She IS kicking cancer’s ass!! Happy Mother’s Day to all the strong, hard working and dependable mommies out there.
We all post our achievements and accomplishments. I fucked up and backed into one of our parking lot lights while plowing. Own the mistakes. Anyone else?
I’m playing in a local charity tournament where 95% of the participants think that the sleeve of Pinnacles in the gift bag is the best ball in golf. Pray for me.
