A few years ago UK election voting rules were relaxed to allow all to have a postal vote. In Birmingham mosques, imams told Muslim women to apply and hand their postal ballot papers to a bloke. Few of these bints could even read English. Thus vote-rigging came to our honest land.

When I was a boy growing up in SE London in the 1950s we knew nothing of machetes, knifings, rape gangs, acid attacks, honour killings, TB, arranged marriages, low IQ, anti-semitism, inbreeding, polygamy, halal slaughter, FGM, drug-dealing or jihad. Our ignorance truly was bliss!

In 1833 Britain borrowed so much to pay for abolishing slavery it wasn’t paid off until nine years ago. This means my generation, now retired, helped pay with their taxes all their working lives for the ending of the transatlantic slave trade. Small thanks we’ve got.
