My Mom died tonight. She was 89 & lived with congestive heart failure for the last 7yrs. My Mom & Dad have been married for almost 71yrs. This is so sad. I lost her Mom, my Grammie right before Christmas too in 1980.

Saturday afternoon, I gave the eulogy at my Mom's memorial service. It went over really well. What a relief. As I ended talking about my Mom, I said, "It was the honor of my lifetime to call her Mom." Then the tears came. My Dad loved it. That's what mattered. 69yrs of marriage.
