This is a little misleading. The Wanchain Bridge cross-chain volume is at an all-time high. Not only did we recently cross 1 Billion in cross-chain volume, we've recently been averaging about $2M per day across a couple hundred txs.

You could theoretically build something like this at the Application/Smart Contract level.
You would simply burn the token on chain A and mint it on chain B (as opposed to lock/mint and burn/unlock mechanisms).
It isn't all that dissimilar to how Circle's USDC CCTP works.
