There has been a great response to the newly tarmacked walkway at the Canon Marron Playing Fields 🚶♂️
The 420m long path has attracted dozens of walkers each day and it is great to see it being used so extensively by members of the community.

It is rare to get good news but we are delighted that contractors appointed by

will arrive on site on Monday to begin works around the lower field to erect fencing, construct a public walkway and car parking. All social distancing measures will be adhered to.

With only 7 players, they battled their way to make through very tough opposition to get to the final but came up against a very strong Shelmaliers side.

From tomorrow, the walk-way at the Canon Marron Playing Fields will close for a few days as work begins to tar the walk-way.
We look forward to seeing the finished product and we are delighted that we will be able to provide a fully lit and tarred walk-way for our community.
