I feel torn on this because I can’t truly discern the “intent” behind it. In one way it is beautiful. Many of us have the nightmare of being on stage or in front of a crowd -bare bodied- yet we would never face that fear irl head on. This takes bravery and can be interpreted as an act of freedom. There are many countries where women do not have the choice to bare their skin let alone their voices or opinions. …yet the flip side is that Ye is controlling her and using this as a way to humiliate her. I can’t speak on his intention, I haven’t looked into why he’s having her do this. Regardless, as a licensed massage therapist, it has always been my opinion that society’s relationship with the bare body is perverse and distorted. Sorry (I’m not) but the bare body shouldn’t be this triggering. It’s just a body. The fact that most of yall equate it with something shameful or offensive says more about your awareness than it does hers. Hence why artists often paint/sculpt the bare bodies of humans: it is not shameful; it is beautiful. Yall need to reprogram yourselves.
