The baby boomers don't care. They want to retire in comfort with much higher house prices. They will resist any policies that would lower house prices to lower living cost and for people to start families. There are a few that cares, but thats not the majority, and they still prefer policies to keep prices high and rely on more subsidies, etc.

How does this work if Hamas is allowed back in to lead the Palestinians, and they don't change their 2017 charter of taking back all the land (from mountain to the sea = modern Israel) and wanting to destroy Israel? You can remove the leadership, but the people under them still have Hamas influence and will likely pursue the same goal.

Ok, let's put Hamas back in so they can continue to govern Gaza and adhere to their 2017 Hamas Charter. I see no issues since their neighbour should be ok with the fact that this charter claims it will "reject any alternative to the full and complete liberation of Palestine, from the river to the sea", which refers to modern Israel. It's totally fine to keep these two highly incompatible neighbours with decades of hatred (centuries if it's religion-related) together so they can continue to hate each other for generations to come.
