I’ve been looking at this map of wealth distribution across the United States wherein dark blue stands for high average wealth and reddish brown for low wealth.
To this old geographer’s eyes, a couple of things stand out.
The first – and most obvious – thing that stands out is
Agreed.
But who owns and controls Big Tech.
For that matter, who has allowed them to operate the way they do.
I suspect it's not all one way.
At least two way.
Probably three or more.
I agree with Victor Davis Hanson on

which has their hands around our throats and guess what, we let it happen. They own our lawmakers - they are an out of control monopoly being fed and protected by one political party. This is far worse than

Okay, folks, you only have 14 hours left to wish me a happy 80th birthday.
As usual, we've started the day with birthday cake for breakfast.
This afternoon the eclipse will pass right over the farm.
"For more than a year, prosecutors in the Kyle Rittenhouse case have possessed FBI spy video footage taken by a fixed wing plane flying above the Kenosha riots. Kyle Rittenhouse’s defense attorneys say they only learned of its existence recently."
They didn't have to leave their mothers.
It seems pretty selfish to abandon a mother who needs your help and care just so you can go to America and be a burden on the people there.
Many people are apart from their moms this Mother’s Day due to immigration struggles. Are you one of them? If you’d like to share your story, please send us a selfie video via iMessage or WhatsApp at +1 (347) 322-0415.
“The Five” was down 7 percent, Brett Baier’s “Special Report” was down 23 percent, “Jesse Watters Primetime” was down 35 percent, “Hannity” was down 44 percent, and “The Ingraham Angle” was down 20
Let me get this straight.
You couldn’t say goodbye to your dying loved ones, but Barack Obama can have a party with 700 people at his estate in Martha’s Vineyard?
There's no doubt in my mind that a large percentage of the US Defense establishment - both civilian and military - perhaps as much as 10% is owned or controlled by foreign governments, particularly the Chinese.
When I first started reporting at the Pentagon for the Washington Times years ago - it was discovered that the Chinese military had penetrated the U.S. military computers / the Pentagon layers deep. In fact, later it was discovered that the person who did it was a senior Chinese
1/ The mighty Mississippi River – and its direct access to some of the most prolific agricultural plains in the world – gives the US an incredible geopolitical advantage. Its importance to the US economy cannot be overstated.
What amazes me constantly is how much Trump knows.
He seems to know the answer to every question in great detail and he never seems flummoxed or flustered.
That's all folks.....another long event. the press once again showed their ass. President Trump is so much in command of this. It's amazing. I know some people can't watch this because they get angry at the press but the information given is very good and it's very calming to
"The role of the Capitol police that day is curious. At first, they assiduously circulated the baseless rumor that one of their number, Brian Sicknick, had been brutally beaten to death with a fire extinguisher by a crazed Trump partisan."
Here's a once in a lifetime, never to be repeated, opportunity for all of you readers out there in Twitter land.
You can wish me Happy 79th Birthday.
(It's 9 o'clock in the morning and I've already had two pieces of birthday cake.)
🔥🔥🔥Breaking anonymous insider testimony on the Trump shooter incident. This will eventually be submitted to the Congressional tip line. In the meanwhile, it’s yours too! The people deserve to know!

Reparations are not basically about money.
It's mostly a form of racial warfare.
Reparations are what defeated nations pay to the victors.
It's a form of criminal extortion.
If the Dems worked 1/10th as much helping Black Americans as they do illegal aliens, they'd have no need to make false promise of reparations in exchange for votes.
If the Dems were willing to do half as much as Mexico to prevent mass migration, sanctuary cities wouldn't exist.
The Guard should absolutely be sent home - it’s unbelievable how Schumer-Pelosi and the gang have politicized everything - including the National Guard. Hope they get home soon and want to thank them for their service
Dear friends and fellow Tweeters,
As any of you know who have checked in on my tweets over the past several months and years, I am sort of an inveterate story-teller.
I blame it all on my Irish genes and my vocation as a writer and journalist.
Most of my stories are part of a
How can she be the most annoying when she tweets something like: 'I may be both an artist and ambidextrous but I paint my nails like a sad, blind, thumbless panda bear."?
It's frustrating.
But I would no more leave the Catholic Church because of Pope Francis, than I would leave the United States because of Joe Biden.
Both the Church and America must be fought for.
"That will likely cost the typical household an additional $2,000 per yea. That comes on top of about $1,000 in extra costs at the grocery store due to inflation which means the typical household will have $3,000 less this year to spend on other items."
Excellent question.
If I had to guess, I'd say it was some three-lettered outfit whose name would begin with the third letter of the alphabet and followed by two vowels.
Er, that's not twice the rate.
"Since the pandemic began, about 1 in 434 rural Americans have died of COVID, compared with roughly 1 in 513 urban Americans, the institute’s data shows."
The folks responsible for the Stoneman Douglas massacre are now conducting a massive cover-up operation to conceal their culpability.
Just what you'd expect from our public schools.
My daughter has a friend, Sarah, who has three kids under 6 and another one on the way.
Yesterday, Sarah's husband dropped dead without warning.
She needs our prayers.
It’s been -5 all day today here on the farm with high winds shaking this 200-yr-old farmhouse till you can hear it creak and groan and rattle in protest but, at the same time, we’ve had no electricity failure, the oil tank is full and our well is pumping out all of the
Exactly this, which used to be called conservationism.
There's one (or two) additions: sensible air pollution control and sensible water pollution control.
We should be focusing on logical old school environmentalism that protects farming, natural ecosystems and sustainable environments, rather than the economically damaging, crass logic, corporate asset grab of net zero. As I discussed with

Just been thinking.
Pence was the guy responsible for getting

fired from the White House by Trump.
Considering Pence's behavior today, it kind of makes you wonder, don't it?

Two interesting items turned up on my timeline this morning.
The first is this piece by
@jeffreyatucker
at the Brownstone Institute.
In it, he argues that America is being divided into two major groups - I almost said classes, but that's not correct.
And don't forget that a few weeks ago the Sinaloa Cartel took on the Mexican Army in open battle in Culiacan, the state's capital city, and defeated it.
I've lived in a very quiet rural community for 33 years and the only crime I can remember is an occasional teenager being stopped for DUI.
Everybody has guns. Everybody knows how to use them.
A lot of us are combat veterans.
You probably should think twice before you try anything
This goes well with the other GKC quote:
“Tradition means giving votes to the most obscure of all classes, our ancestors. It is the democracy of the dead. Tradition refuses to submit to the small and arrogant oligarchy of those who merely happen to be walking about.”
Think deeply about this quote and it will forever change your views about education. It will wake you up to how far we have fallen.
“Education is simply the soul of a society as it passes from one generation to another.” - G.K. Chesterton
Parents protesting against CRT and a transgender policy are arrested after a Loudoun County, Virginia school board meeting was declared an unlawful assembly
Take a lookk at this map.
The people to the left of the yellow line and to the right of the red line think that they should control and rule all of the land and people in between.
They mostly do.
Today Ruthie asked her (college) class - mostly freshmen and sophomores - what they knew about what was happening in Ukraine.
Only 1 of them - a boy - knew anything was happening at all.
Yesterday she asked her other class what they knew about what had happened in Canada.
None
This afternoon our neighbors saw just about all of the township cops driving their cruises up and down the roads and then stopping, getting out and going up to houses.
Nobody knew whaa was happening.
Turns out they were delivering Christmas presents to the poor kids here.
Pence is a backstabbing weasel who knew the Presidential election was being stolen and, for whatever reason, was highly complicit in letting the theft proceed.
After losing 13 seats in the 2020 election, House Democrats have a numbers problem and are trying to grab a House seat in Iowa to fix it. Despite a Bipartisan group of election officials in Iowa voting 5-0 to certify Mariannette

after a recount...
Of all the wonders that I yet have heard,
It seems to me most strange that men should fear;
Seeing that death, a necessary end,
Will come when it will come.
Cowards die many times before their deaths;
The valiant never taste of death but once.
We used to understand human beings are fragile and death could come at any time for any number of reasons. This wasn’t being “doomer,” just honest.
Now there’s messaging that if you “do all the right things” you can avoid death. This is not true and is a dangerous way to think.
From '95 to '97 we home-schooled our daughter for the last two years of high-school.
During that time she was also a columnist for the state's largest newspaper and played rhythm guitar in a blues band.
She graduated summa cum laude with all-university honors in philosophy.
It is increasingly normal, even respectable, to homeschool or classically educate. But if you did it 30 years ago you were next level weird.
A huge shout out to the families who risked everything back in the 80s and 90s. 🙌
America owes you a debt of gratitude.
Whenever I need a little perspective, I keep this picture of this little orphan in Austria, who was absolutely delighted to have received a new pair of shoes from the Red Cross in 1946.
Sitting here at breakfast (stollen and coffee) this morning with Ruthie on a gray and foggy Christmas Eve morning, it occurred to me that though I'm only (only?) 79 years old, this is my 80th Christmas.
That seemed to me to be as good a reason as any for a gooey, sentimental
Something I'm just becoming aware of is that middle-class kids with special needs in public schools are facing as tough a situation as most poor minority kids in public schools.
We should make Flaco a national hero.
Any bird or person from New York City who is smart enough to escape the concrete canyons of Gotham for even a limited amount of light and free air deserves our admiration.
After thirteen years in captivity, I think Flaco is grateful for every sunrise! He basks in the early morning light and often looks directly toward the sun. Spotted just after dawn today in Central Park.🌄🦉🌄

Woke up this morning with a weather alert from NOAA.
It's very, very dangerous out.
We shouldn't go out except to get to some facility that has very high quality air conditioning.
Expect old people to be dropping like flies.
Why?
Because it's going to get up into the high 80s
