You gotta just see them for their profession. It’s what pays their bills and takes care of their families. I refuse to go beyond seeing them as nothing but the stellar entertainers that they are.
Kendrick and Beyoncé got me like 🥴 I’m such a huge fan of both, since the beginning of both. I thoroughly enjoy their artistry. They’re masters of their craft. I also struggle where I am politically and the juxtaposition of that against their cultural exploitative practices.

Immigrants, including African nationals, do well here because they value and prioritize education. They see education as their ticket out of poverty. Parents of Asians, Africans and West Indians don’t play. Strict as hell. They were also the top performers when I used to teach 8th grade ELA / 7th grade math in Long Island City, Queens.
Educational attainment will always be one of my priority pillars for our community because if you look at the Asians, it is one in theirs and they are often the highest earning
