NEW: Samsung has officially announced a heatsink variant of its 980 Pro M.2 SSD! It launches on October 29th.
And yes, this SSD is compatible with the PS5.
I respectfully ask that you please do not send me messages making fun of my disability.
I have autism and I am fully aware that my social skills aren't exactly excellent; I get that, but making fun of me for it is not ok.
Halo Infinite won't launch with ray tracing on PC, but developer 343 Industries says it's one of the studio's "top development priorities post-launch".
Made my IGN game review debut today! I reviewed Life is Strange: True Colors!
In short, I LOVED this game. As a fan of the series, this is my personal favorite in the series and I argue why it is the best in the series to date!
SCOOP: A Microsoft spokesperson told me that the Xbox Series X/S will support FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR), AMD's competitor to Nvidia's DLSS.
Details:
Words cannot explain how upset I am that Venture Bros is canceled. I hope a streaming service like Netflix will pick up the show because throughout it's run, the show developed a universe and lore, and the show deserves a proper ending. 😭
Unfortunately, it’s true:
#VentureBros
has been canceled. We got the highly disappointing news a few months ago, while we were writing what would have been season 8. We thank you, our amazing fans, for 17 years of your kind (and patient) attention. And, as always, We Love You.
Look, it is no PS5 or Series X, but the Series S is solid. Especially if you want a portable Game Pass Machine (that's not xCloud).
For under $300, this deal is pretty solid. Especially considering the XSX and PS5 are not getting discounted anytime soon.
Good Morning, here's some tech news:
Corsair has announced a new PS5-ready SSD: the MP600 Pro LPX which as you can see has a built-in heatsink. If you held off on buying an SSD or recently bought a PS5 and want to upgrade your storage, might be worth a look.
Hey y’all! I have an announcement to make.
After a little over 3 years, I am leaving IGN. My last day is on tomorrow.
More importantly, after tomorrow I will be effectively “retiring” from journalism.
Happy Monday! I have some great news to start off the week:
I'm excited to announce that I have joined
@IGN
and today is my first day as IGN's new Associate Tech Editor!
Morning! I reviewed the Nintendo Switch OLED for work!
In short, I love it! While I was disappointed in the recycled internal specs, the OLED model does enough right to make it the current Nintendo Switch flagship.
Few things i wanna note tho
The Last of Us is one of my favorite games of all time. I waited for seven years for a sequel to launch. Never did I expect this game to influence me to buy and learn how to play the guitar.
Got an update to this story.
Nvidia announced today that Dying Light 2 will also be playable on GeForce Now when the game releases on December 7th.
GeForce Now Founders and Priority members will be able to play an RTX enhanced version of Dying Light 2.
I reviewed Resident Evil 4 VR!
To sum up my overall feelings, I LOVE IT! I've played so many different versions of Resident Evil 4 and the VR version is now one of my top 3 ways to play.
Got an update to my story here:
Nvidia has responded to the list of datamined list of games, saying that it was "used only for internal tracking and testing," adding that some titles included are "speculative" and don't constitute "confirmation nor an announcement of any game."
Last month, Nikon offered its entire library of free online courses for the month of April. Today, I found out that access to these free courses has been extended through the month of May.
It has come to my attention that there is a hookah hose clip accessory you can buy for your DualSense controller and if I have to look at this cursed image, so do you.

PSA: A Walmart spokesperson told me that the retailer will be restocking PS5s and Xbox Series X/S today at 12pm PST / 3pm EST.
Also good to note that the consoles will be available for delivery only.
Be sure to give
@IGNDeals
a follow w/ notifications on so you don't miss it!
After months of beta testing, the second major PS5 update rolls out globally tomorrow. And yes, this update will allow you to expand your internal storage using a third-party M.2 SSD.
Speaking of Cloud gaming.
I was able to get both AT&T and Google to confirm to me that the tech being used in this AT&T x Arkham Knight promotion is the same tech that Stadia uses.
Say what you will about Stadia, but the tech that powers it is impressive.
Google will offer its Stadia streaming technology as a white label product – starting with AT&T, which is giving customers the chance to play Batman: Arkham Knight for free.

If we talk in terms of gameplay and mechanics TLOUII. If we focus on story, emotional weight and the ability to tuck at your heartstrings, then TLOU
Wrote up a comparison piece between the revamped PS+, Xbox Game Pass, and Nintendo Switch Online!
The more I looked into all three, the more I realized there were both a lot of similarities (and obvious differences) across all services.
Disgusted with some of the ableism I saw in a recent story I did.
Ableism has no place in the game industry. And if I see it on my Twitter feed, I'm just going to block you in a heartbeat.
Gaming is for everyone, don't be a gatekeeper.
So I had a lot of new followers in the last weekish or so. And I am taking this tweet to say HELLO!
I'm Taylor from IGN. I tweet about video games, technology (mostly consumer tech), memes, and sometimes sports (mostly lacrosse). Also, I am a BIG foodie.
Nice to meet ya
No context, just juice in a Series X mini-fridge.
And before anyone wants to complain and say “put some water in there,” I don't drink from plastic water bottles anymore and haven't for several years. I drink water primarily from a Brita filter with my 30oz Yeti rambler.
If you were to tell me, that I was going to review a Resident Evil game, movie, and TV show all in the same year, I would not believe you!
With that said, I reviewed Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City! The review went up last night!
Got an important update to this story:
PlayStation boss Jim Ryan announced that it has reversed the decision. Horizon: Forbidden West will include an upgrade path. Meaning PS4 owners will get the PS5 version, at no additional cost.
Horizon: Forbidden West won't offer a free upgrade from PS4 to PS5 on its standard or special editions, and you can't pay to upgrade a standard edition to one that does include the PS5 version.
Hey, everyone! I have an announcement to make.
April 30th is my last day at The Verge. It's been an honor working for this outlet and, by extension, Vox Media. I can't begin to express how thankful I am for the memories, skills, and friendships I have made here.
With Halo Infinite's multiplayer tech preview this weekend, I found it to be a good opportunity to really test drive this gaming gadget I'm reviewing for work!
I'm testing it in other games, too! Hit me up if there's a specific game you want me to test with it!
As for what’s next, I’m not going to publicly disclose my next professional move (please respect my decision).
But just know that the opportunity was too good to pass up and that I am very excited to take the next step in my career.
Exciting Monday news!
The Google Pixel 6 Pro has earned our first-ever 10/10 for an IGN TECH review (emphasis on Tech section as IGN has obviously given a 10/10 for some game and ent reviews).

This is also a good reminder that Xbox Game Pass is an excellent service! It's not perfect, sure but no subscription service is.
And if you're not a fan of Xbox Game Pass, then you don't have to subscribe to it. But don't dismiss the value Game Pass can bring to others.
So, I built a new gaming PC.

When you legit leave a meeting for a few seconds just to get your PS5 from UPS man. Then decide to let everyone in the meeting know it did, in fact, arrive and no porch pirates took your PS5.
New from me: Valve's queue for the Steam Deck is meant to combat the scalpers who have become the biggest villains when it comes to buying new gaming hardware in 2021.
Had the honor of interviewing Toshimasa Aoki regarding the DualSense controller. Learned a lot of interesting things about DualSense, including how early experiments brought adaptive triggers and haptics to the controller!
Nvidia has announced a monthly price for its GeForce Now RTX 3080 membership. A monthly subscription is $19.99, admittedly a more attractive price for RTX 3080-power cloud gaming.
Previously the only option you had for this tier was $99.99 for 6 months.
First week at IGN complete!
Excited to be here. It feels so surreal, but I thank God for the opportunity and I'm excited to keep hustling with this team and growing and pushing myself professionally!
#Onward
I forgot to post this earlier today, but I'm happy to announce that I've been nominated for the gameHER awards Top Journalist of the Year!
I'm not sure who nominated me and whether or not I'll win but to whoever did, thank you!
Man, 2022 is just really stacked for gaming.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Jusitce League and Gotham Knights COULD be some of many contenders for 2022’s GOTY
Though, I wonder how far between the releases will be for both these DC games.

UPDATE: Blue Box says it's continuing to work on enabling the patch that will activate the Abandoned Realtime Experience app, almost a full day after it was meant to launch.
NEW: Intel has finally announced its 12th Gen desktop processors. Which support DDR5, PCIe Gen 5, Wi-Fi 6E, and the new Z960 motherboards.
Available for purchase on November 4th with a starting price of $264
