We’ve had a closer look at the numbers from the newly-marginal constituency of Tatton. The full story is even more positive for Labour in the long term. Quick 🧵.
🗳️ Ryan received the highest number of votes (18,820) of any second-placed Labour candidate in the country.

Make a plan to vote tomorrow. Don't forget your voter ID. It's been a pleasure to meet so many people over the last few weeks. Thanks to ALL our
#Tatton
volunteers for making this such an amazing experience. We're so proud of the positive campaign we've run. Good luck Ryan!🌹
We are delighted to announce Ryan Jude as our parliamentary candidate in Tatton
Tatton deserves an MP who grew up round here, knows our communities and will be a strong voice for the people of Tatton.
The polls show only Labour can beat the Tories here. Join our campaign now 🌹
🌱 If elected as Tatton’s MP, I will take the climate & nature crises seriously.
Real action means lower bills, warmer homes, less strain on our NHS, and so much more.
The polls show it is a two-horse race with me and Esther McVey. Vote for change on July 4th.🗳️
🌹 Labour received the highest number of votes for a second place party in Tatton’s history, with the number of votes increasing by 72.8% from 2019.
📉 This delivered the smallest majority Tatton has ever seen, reduced from an implied majority of 19,242 on new boundaries.

For the first time in a long time,
#Tatton
voters now have a real choice but the polls are close. If you want change, you have to go out and vote for it. Honesty. Integrity. Public Service.

🔸As predicted in the polls, the Liberal Democrats finished 4th, with a reduced vote share (8.9%) similar to their 2017 result (8.5%).
🧮 Only a 1.1% swing is needed to win Tatton for Labour next time.
(4/5)
📊 The Reform vote (11.5%) was smaller than nearby seats (eg. Mid Cheshire 19.2%, Congleton 16.4%).
🟰 The impact of Reform was similar to UKIP in Tatton in 2015 (10.8%). The Tory vote share stayed exactly the same when UKIP didn’t run in 2017 (58.6% in 2015 and 2017)

Tatton constituency meet-up last night was standing room only and loads of fun, as usual. Members are fired up, full of energy & ideas for future activity. Some great campaign learning points, discussion and suggestions for conference motions too.

Utterly incredible statement! So disingenuous. Most GPs work part time, many because of childcare responsibilities. Many GPs will be working 26 hours week unpaid overtime. The problem is caused by Tory austerity and dreadful workforce planning. Shame on you
@andreajenkyns
Ms Braverman was criticised when she was announced as a keynote speaker at the conference, as Vladimir Putin's close ally Hungarian PM Viktor Orban is also due to make an address. Rishi Sunak has faced pressure to block her attendance. This is about challenging the far right
Complacency about the inevitability of a Labour win terrifies me.
In so many Labour v Tory races, a vote for smaller parties is a vote that helps the Tories.
You only get change if you vote for Labour.

Why it is important to join a recognised Trade Union. Make it your 2018 resolution so you're ready for when the Labour Party is in government. The success of the McDonalds strike 2017 shows how a Union can stand up for you.

Not factually correct, many parish or town councillors don’t claim allegiance to a party. However there is no such thing as apolitical. One of the candidates describes himself as “Englishman” and it is alleged he has associated with far right groups. That is not a political

Should be interesting.
