It is always the case that people applying for Federal grants have to tailor them to the current administration’s priorities. After 9/11 you couldn’t get a grant if you didn’t massage it to relate to the War on Terror in some way. Did the Biden admin take it way too far though? Yep.

@chukosad Turns out the adaptive driving beam (ADB) technology Europe uses for this problem was illegal in the US until 2022. And when it was made legal the regulations around them are so stringent it’s hard for the manufacturers to implement. Your tax dollars at work.

It’s semantics but language matters. To deny that there are some voters that wouldn’t vote for a woman or a person on a different race for an office is denying reality. So it played some role, but it does in reverse as well. Was it a tipping point? No. The true cringe is the “Good, you all passed.” comment the moderator gave afterwards.

@Cernovich Mine is that term limits is a terrible idea that just puts more power in staffers than elected officials hands. But you’re not wrong. If it wasn’t buried in a giant spending bill I’d be fine with a raise for members of Congress.
