Message to Football…
There are way to many people who relate to my tweet… please do better…
If you are in a position of power at your club communicate with and thank your staff/volunteers. You wouldn’t be half the club without them!
People assuming you're a physio because you're a female at football winds me up no end!
The amount of people that have referred to me as a physio or asked me physio related questions in the last few of weeks is an actual joke 😑
(No offence to any physios!🙈)

How do you stop/prevent burnout when coaching?
Always end up getting so invested in a team/club, giving a lot and end up so drained from it before the end of a season...
Any tips / advice are appreciated!

Buzzing to have passed my UEFA B! Cannot thank
@UoBWomensFC
enough for the opportunities and support not only with my B licence journey but also over the last 3 years coaching. To win the cup and the league in 3 years isn’t too bad...
Could not be more proud of this group and the journey they have been on to win the cup last year and the league this is an achievement and a half. Could not have wished to spend my 3 years at uni coaching a better set of girls

Not a bad year;
League win - Uni of Birmingham 2s ✅
FA Youth Award ✅
UEFA B Licence ✅
Kick It Out Game Changers - place ✅
2:1 BSc Sport, PE and Coaching Science ✅
Nice to have some pictures of training especially with all the happy faces!
Happy to be back and looking forward to the new season and the challenges it brings 💪🏼⚽️
Thanks
@photojoedent
for coming down, we (
@Posh_WG
) appreciate it!
When you have a busy week it’s the little things that get you through...
This week I managed to persuade a kid to get out the car (refused too because they were scared) and come & join in the session
Oh, they stayed the entire time & were happy after!

Honestly sometimes I hate the fact I chose football as “my sport”…
Countless hours for a lack of communication and no thanks!
Football as a whole, you have to start treating people better 🤯
Really enjoyable 3 days delivering

with the

The youth leaders were incredible and engaged so well!
And I’m pleased to say I got through my first proper online workshop deliveries!
Oh and we finished with

!
Reflecting back on match day yesterday and a solid start 💪🏼
New faces, new formation and held our own against higher opposition. A slight lapse near the end but all in all a positive starting point.
The journey has begun 👀 and I’m excited to see where we end up ⚽️💙
Nice to have the
@Posh_WG
coaching team together on video call this evening! Discussing exciting plans in place for the ladies set up for the coming season 👀 the future is looking very bright indeed 💪🏼
Nearly 2years ago I was asked to support coaches at my local football club. That quickly turned into running the whole youth section.
I leave the role with 160 players & 17 different coaches across 5foundation & 5league age groups
Below are some successes & learnings from this;
Some peoples replies to tweets about women’s football 😒🥴
When will these people realise this only motivates us to do more and do better!
How much of a better place the world could be...
Tash Buckland (
@TashaBuckland
) will also be joining the team this season as North Engagement Officer.
Tash attended the first FA Leadership Academy in 2016 and has supported many County FA Youth Council’s.

The value of a co-coach / assistant is really being emphasised at the moment whilst I'm coaching on my own!
The ability to get the next activity set, work with different players, raise the session...
Any tips for those coaching alone, felt very flat tonight?!

Proud coach today!
Yes we lost & yes that’s disappointing…
But the difference in performance from when we played our opposition at the start of the season is huge!
Playing through the thirds with confidence & pressing in key areas
Players fulfilling their potential is 🔑
Great to see
@granthamtownfc
stay up yesterday.
It’s been a pleasure to be able to shadow some of the sessions and match-days this season, a proper insight to men’s football at that level.
Thank you for the experience
@Mattchat11
A great group of players and staff 👊🏼
So greatful for the opportunity to go to the England game last week and sit in the Royal Box thanks to

Anyone looking for a coach for some sessions over the summer/next season drop me a line!
Keen to get back involved, cant make everything due to shifts but would be committed to anything around that ⚽️

Proper rollercoaster of a season 22/23 has been..
Lots of new opportunities, hours spent on the pitch developing players & even more hours of admin behind the scenes.. great highs and even lower lows
Let’s see where 23/24 will take us and what opportunities arise 👀
Coaches worst nightmare. Planned a mint session for tonight based on players (position specific) available then 3 drop out 🫣
Back to the drawing board!
Really enjoying my role with

and

Great to run through session ideas and adaptations with this group of female coaches yesterday evening.
Female players have some great role models to look up to in Nottinghamshire 🤩⚽️

Massive thank you to the people who have helped me on this journey. Couldn’t have imagined at the start of uni being ready to leave having coached a 2nd team - one of the best experiences ever!

comes from being in supportive environments where people don’t judge you based on who you love. It’s more important that you commit to the team and share that common goal! Football is for all ⚽️

Great to be back with

Looking at the future direction of youth-adult partnerships, understanding our why and building social media campaigns.
And of course we built spaghetti towers blindfolded and broke out of escape rooms!

Chatting with the young lads who made debuts/got minutes for 1st team last night
Nothing better than seeing them buzzing & talking about how their families have supported the local club that they’ve now represented at 1st team level🤩
More to football than just winning matches!
Massive learning curve for us today. Showing us what it takes to compete at the top of the league above.
However positives to take and learning only means we come back stronger!
Thanks
@garybarrell
,
@Boldmere_WFC
and Co for hosting us! It was great to see everyone again!⚽️
A very long, but great football day with

Lots of positives + some development points to take into the week ahead✅
