@ask_aubry The woman sounds like a jerk and a snob. Possibly worse if the redacted part “(my neighborhood)” indicates a part of town where Mexicans live. But that’s hard to tell. Threatening her though is obviously not right.

No the Mayflower wasn’t a slave ship but it’s likely that some of the *people on it* had descendants who owned slaves. And that’s likely why Ms. Davis, and probably some other black Americans, are genetically related to passengers.
