@chillextremist the whole reason it's called "suspended" instead of add2/add4 is because the quality of the 3rd was removed and the music is now "paused" by using the less harmonically active 2 or 4. a sus chord is by definition neither major nor minor. the chord you're playing is a Dmaj9
