For as long as I’ve made music, I’ve hated my mix downs. Mixing down a track right is like balancing on a tight rope while juggling anvils. BUT….Managed to find a method that works for me. -7/-6 LUFS with 1.9 DB gain reduction! Pretty happy with this new method

Your master bus/chain should have nothing but very subtle dynamics processing on it. If you disable your master bus/chain and it sounds wildly different/coloured.. then I would highly advise on going back earlier in your chain and fixing the issues.
