@bobby317324 @LottieHistory On the contrary, it's becoming ever more obvious why the NHS tried to keep this from the public.

@A8925538227611 @LottieHistory And no nurses should be subjected to him either. Health care staff have enough to deal with without narcissistic colleagues.

@NeurolawNerd @LottieHistory I suppose if you don't experience empathy it's easy to think you have it when you don't? A bit like thinking you're a woman when you have no experience of being one.

@AKalosyni @LottieHistory Tbf, I don't think he wanted fame or attention - he fought hard to prevent coverage of this case. Wanted the satisfaction of seeing someone he disliked fired, perhaps? Certainly wanted all colleagues to participate in his delusion.

@eliottness555 @LottieHistory Too high on his own righteousness for regret, I expect. While most people see a doctor being arrogant and ludicrous, some will admire him for confidently asserting his rights as a 'female'.

@Katejsm1 @LottieHistory Is this satire? 'All he wants to be accepted as a woman and to be assimilated into female society?'. Oh, that's 'all'?! Just for every other person to pretend he's something he's not? Maybe he has gender dysphoria. That doesn't give him a right to impose on women.

@ColinPManning @LottieHistory He's of a class to know how to say the right things to the right people. He just doesn't believe the right people include a middle aged nurse or a female barrister.

@GcMummy @ecalpemos1 @LottieHistory Difficult for management to cover his arse when he's named as respondant and they can't stop him beclowning himself in the witness box.

@StigOfTheDamp @LottieHistory @WingsScotland Wouldn't want to inflict him on anywhere else. Maybe Trump's USA?

@EdinNic58722 @burnerfife @holyroodmandy All the better to punish someone who refused him the validation he wanted, and walk away from any fallout (so he thought).

@G32woman @GaslightSpotter @holyroodmandy A code of practice that is unlawful. That is also substantive to this issue, particularly as the employer appears to have made up policy on the hoof with no EIA. Presumably the manager will shed light on what legal advice they received.

@TiffanyDarling @jillyglenister @WitchyMcWitch His counsel is a woman though. He's unlikely to be willing to curb himself on her advice. Particularly as he is convinced he is in the right.

@ged68050 @michaelpforan I'm not a lawyer, but I think in terms of the article, he could keep his sex private 'as a matter of fact' from the patient, as there is no longer a legal duty to disclose. But practically, recusing himself would reveal his sex to his colleagues if it wasn't obvious already.

@DPJHodges @helenstaniland @jk_rowling @DanniBrener @JoolsJuevans If it's a request, we can freely choose whether or not to comply. So why are you telling us that we should comply? Someone making a 'request' would recognise that they had no entitlement to dictate others' speech and would happily accept 'no' as an answer.

@boswelltoday Workplace Regulations in this case, I think? The EA allows but does not mandate service providers to provide single sex spaces. The workplace Regs require employers to do so.

@AndyBorland4 @boswelltoday That's a good point. But I'm sure a lot of people donated in order to give her something nice, in recognition that she's been through a rough time and that what she's doing impacts us all.
