It’s crazy seeing kids who’ve never played a snap of varsity football say they have offers w/o talking to a coach nor setting foot on a campus. Parents if you haven’t talked to the coaches don’t allow this to go on. Your child’s time will come. This trend has to come to an end.

If you’re not a top 5 at your position (the top 5 programs) in the country aren’t the spot for you. Go to where they love you. I was top 15 at my position (11) to be exact and I went a Clemson program that was under achieving bc I knew I could play. Do better players and parents.

DB coaches, Are we teaching our DB’s the purpose of speed turning vs open cutting when it comes to transitioning out of breaks? Why are we using both? Also are you telling them at what point their cushion is broken & this means open up? If not we’re doing them a disservice.

In short the DB should stay down the middle of the WR. Coaching points below. DBs even the good ones have lapses. The goal is eliminate them by playing sound technique.
In BAIL tech there is a fine line when trying to stack the WR. Too far inside & you are blind (see below). Too far outside & you can give up the Post. DB has to work to the midpoint to inhibit a free release, but also for the ability to lean (Fade) or drive inside (Post). #ArtofX

Parents be mindful of who you choose to let “train” your children. Are they really teaching retainable information that can be applied to their position & sport. Their is a difference between an actual coach & trainer. Busy work, cones, ladders aren’t used in competition.
