After almost two decades of leadership, Sir Ian Wood has today announced he is stepping back as The Wood Foundation’s Chairman. Sir Ian, who founded the charity in 2007, has played a pivotal role in shaping its work in Africa and the UK.

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Aberdeen legend, Denis Law. Our thoughts are with his family and friends. The Wood Foundation is proud to support his charity, Denis Law Legacy Trust, which is making a positive difference to young people’s lives across Aberdeen.
A statement from Denis Law Legacy Trust: “We are deeply saddened by the loss of Denis and our foremost thoughts are with his family and close friends during this very sad time”. “Denis was Scotland’s greatest ever footballer and a proud Aberdonian. As Patron of the charity that was built in his honour, he was an inspirational figure for so many people in the city.”
