Smells, the cat who @TSA recently rescued from a checked bag at @JFKairport after he snuck into a suitcase in an attempt to fly to Orlando, enjoyed Thanksgiving at home in Brooklyn. Apparently Smells was planning to chase after a big mouse he heard was running around Disneyworld.

A @TSA officer was shocked to find an orange cat inside a checked bag at @JFKairport after it went through the X-ray unit. Traveler said the cat belonged to someone else in his household. On the bright side, the cat’s out of the bag and safely back home.

. @TSA now allowing passengers to bring liquid hand sanitizer up to 12 oz in carry-on bags until further notice. Expect these containers larger than the standard of 3.4 oz of liquids will need to be screened separately, which will add some time to checkpoint screening.

Delaware man caught by @TSA at a @PHLAirport checkpoint with this loaded gun strapped into his bag claimed he forgot he had it with him. (Really?) It was loaded with 17 bullets (1 chambered) and had an additional clip with another 17 bullets right next to the gun. Cops cited him.

The @TSA team at @LGAairport caught these two 3-D printed gun triggers inside a traveler's carry-on bag this morning. So yes, even 3-D printed weapons (or gun parts) can be detected by the security checkpoint technology. They would be okay to have been packed in a checked bag.
