Because a fight scene as good as it may be does not cover up the fact that this movie is horrendously written and disrespects the entire series of Star Wars by shattering the narrative. Some of us need more than lightsabers and cool costumes to consider a movie good.

May seem like a generic answer, but the way Top Gun: Maverick was filmed is revolutionary and is one of the greatest achievements in the history of film making. Easily one of the greatest movies of all time based on this alone, not to mention the fantastic story.

Honestly, there’s not much that people can do in that situation. Call for help obviously, but the people above can’t climb down onto the subway tracks to help (electrified 3rd rail + train) and the people underneath can’t do much other than get crushed.
