TRECA main results paper now in BMC Medicine: . Using multimedia instead of printed sheets increased trial recruitment in children & teens. Pooled data, 3 SWATs: OR 1.54 (1.05, 2.28) p=0.03. Overall, mutlimedia recruitment rate 69%, printed sheet rate 64%.

Our SR on video animations for informing patients. 38 mostly small trials comparing animation with other formats. Consistent positive effects on knowledge; mixed findings on attitudes & behaviours. Better trials needed!
