I was chatting with a long-time Unite Here organizer, and he suggested we start holding monthly events with all our local union members, just like the Chamber of Commerce does. Looks like I'll be putting something together.

new from me. unions face scary new pressures towards selfish collaboration with trump: business unionism on uppers. but only fighting solidarity – across unions, with immigrants, in politics – can sustain & grow the fragile labor upsurge.

these raids on California farmworkers were the opposite of narrow; lashing out at peak harvest, in GOP-run districts, where 75% of undocumented ppl have been residents for 10+ years. the raids did, however, aim at the historic heart of the UFW, which shows you the real agenda
