Any suspicious phone calls lately? Never provide personal information to someone calling you. Collect info, hang up and find the correct number to call. Scammers are pretending to work in law enforcement, tech companies or even posing as family members. See below for more info
Scammers are impersonating TPS officers using Caller ID Spoofing. If you receive such a call, ask for the caller's name and badge number, then verify by calling the police directly. Do not share personal information without confirmation.

Please be mindful when answering the phone, scammers have the ability to copy caller IDs.
Fraudsters are posing as Toronto Police officers to steal personal information. Victims report receiving calls from someone claiming to be a TPS officer. If you've received one of these calls or have any info, contact your local police division or Crime Stoppers at 416-222-TIPS (8477). Stay safe and protect your personal details!
