Scammers are impersonating TPS officers using Caller ID Spoofing. If you receive such a call, ask for the caller's name and badge number, then verify by calling the police directly. Do not share personal information without confirmation.

Fraudsters are posing as Toronto Police officers to steal personal information. Victims report receiving calls from someone claiming to be a TPS officer. If you've received one of these calls or have any info, contact your local police division or Crime Stoppers at 416-222-TIPS (8477). Stay safe and protect your personal details!
