We’re thrilled to share that STOP has been awarded a $10,000 Power Grant! These funds will help sustain and expand their comprehensive care and developmental programs for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). With state programs providing as little as $3.66 per hour, there’s a significant gap between available funding and the $15,700 it costs annually to provide full-time services to one ACE. This grant bridges that critical funding gap, ensuring STOP can continue offering individualized care, specialized staff training, and unique activities that go beyond basic state requirements—like Performing Arts, Fitness, and Cooking Clubs. Thank you for making such an incredible impact on the lives of so many in our community!

The snow has stopped falling, but winter is far from over! It’s important to stay prepared and vigilant to keep yourself, your family, and your home safe all season long. Here are a few tips to stay winter-ready: • Check your heating system: Ensure your furnace or heaters are working efficiently. • Prevent frozen pipes: Let faucets drip and keep cabinets under sinks open to allow warm air to circulate. • Stock up: Keep essential supplies like water, non-perishable food, and batteries handy in case of emergencies. • Be weather-aware: Stay updated with local weather forecasts for upcoming storms or extreme temperatures.
