Numb. Shocked. Devastated to hear the news about Grant Wahl. The world lost a kind human being. Met Grant as a young reporter and later had the pleasure of working with him last WC. He loved people, life and our sport. May your soul rest in peace Grant. 🙏🏻.

Terribly saddened to hear the news of Sigi Schmid passing. I met Sigi in ‘87 as an opposing coach. He later became my coach, then my colleague and then a mentor and most importantly my friend. Always had time and knowledge to share. Thank you Sigi for your friendship. -RIP.

This is terribly sad news to hear. Such a great teammate but an even better person. Jimmy was a “big brother” to so many. A smile that lit up the room and a legend of our game that should never be forgotten. Prayers to the Banks family. 🙏🏻.

@RaeComm Derek, this applies to YNT Coaches as well. I’m convinced that many have passed on jobs because of the requirement to live in Chicago and being at the office daily. (I’m guessing that salaries at YNT jobs makes living in Chicago a challenge as well) I have asked why….

One of my favorite moments from last night was during the shootout when @headdturnerr played a game of “I dare you to go down the middle again” with Vitoria. Stood strong, didn’t dive and made a momentum save on 1st kick. Guy is a gamer. #USMNT .
