100 years ago, James E. King and 6 other band leaders formed Texas Bandmasters Association, wanting a better future for their profession. Dues were $1.00 (quickly reduced to $0.50). By 1925, their cause had evolved, as did their name, to Texas Band Teachers Association. #TMEA100
