All PE groups were welcomed back this week and successfully completed their PE induction. During the induction they learnt about the high standards and expectations within the department, as well as finding out about all of the extra-curricular opportunities on offer 🤩

We all want children and young people to enjoy playing out over the summer months. The water may look safe but it can be dangerous. Further information about keeping your child safe over summer can be found at the Leeds Safeguarding Children Partnership website.

Congratulations to our very own Molly N in Y9 who has qualified for 6 events at the British Swimming Championships. Throughout the week she will be competing in the 1500m, 800m, 400m freestyle, 200m butterfly, 200m and 400m Individual Medley. Good luck Molly! 👍🏊���♀️👊🏻

Congratulations to Reece W who won the 'Outstanding contribution to school sport' award at our recent Sports Presentation Evening. Since Y7, Reece has consistently attended a range of extra curricular clubs at TMA and also represented the academy in competitive fixtures 👊🏻

Congratulations to the amazing Maria T who won the Christopher Leathley Award for Leadership at our annual Sports Awards Presentation this week. Well done Maria, an amazing achievement 🤩

The TMA extra curricular machine keeps on moving forward. We have had another busy night of fixtures this evening with three teams qualifying for the city finals. Our Y8 boys finished in 2nd place and both our y9 and Y10 girls finished 3rd. What an amazing group of students 😍

It’s been a busy day for the PE department today but we wouldn’t want it any other way 🤩 Our Y7 girls competed in the Leeds schools rounders league this afternoon and came away with 3 wins and 1 loss. A great effort from all of the girls today. Well done 👏🏻 #rounders

It was great to see our KS3 leaders in action today at the Leeds Schools Primary Panathlon. 15 of our leaders helped to organise and lead a range of activities at Morley leisure centre and they did a fantastic job. Well done! #leaders #leadership

Calling all athletes 🚨 Sports Day 2024 is fast approaching 🏃🏻‍♀️ Please speak to your form tutor to sign up for Sports Day. All teams need to be selected no later than Wednesday 19 June during PD.

Congratulations to our Y7 athletics team who finished in first position in pool A at the Leeds Schools Championships this week. Out of 27 events we had 13 gold medals🥇 and 6 silver medals 🥈. We were also the highest overall points scorers out of all 27 schools that took part 🤩

Y9 student Jake B has signed a two year contract extension with @mancity Jake works extremely hard balancing school work and his football commitments and we are so happy that he has secured another two years of development at the Premier League giants. We are super proud of you!
