This is spot-on. WWE’s always had a tendency for selective memory when it comes to the past. I’m glad they put out a statement but Joe Anthony is right here: they’ve got to own up to some of the casual racism that they’ve put on air over the years.
Racism has always plagued the wrestling industry. Before WWE and wrestling as a whole can believably speak against racism in support of Black Lives Matter, they must address and distance themselves from that racist past.
