We are thrilled to announce our group of incoming PGY-4 cardiology fellows to the
@TJHeartFellows
and
@TJUHospital
family this summer. Can’t wait to have you all here! ❤️
We are excited to host
@BurkhoffMd
for a hemodynamics module tomorrow evening!!
Feel free to drop any questions on PV loops, etc and we may be able to have them answered at the end of the session.
Simply an AMAZING session this evening with
@BurkhoffMd
. Somehow managed to pack in the basics of hemodynamics/PV loops, and advanced topics such as device and inotropic/pressor support, into 3 hours that absolutely flew by.
Jefferson Cardiologist and ASE Vice President Dr. David Wiener giving AM conference this morning. A hint for the topic he discussed can be seen in this parasternal long axis view from TTE. This finding is colloquially associated with which sport?

BIG CONGRATS to Dr.
@YevgeniyBr
for winning the IM resident teaching award. Very well deserved!!! (Seen here in action probably discussing amyloid with Dr.
@IRajapreyar
)
PS: Our fellows feel the same way about your teaching!
With ERAS opening in the coming days, we look forward to meeting the next round of bright minds that will join the cardiology family!

Excellent talk this morning by
@fischman_david
about the considerations surrounding treatment of ischemia/MI in cancer patients.
Very interesting insights including the fact that cancer patients have been excluded from the majority/all of the large scale RCTs.

Starting with an excellent talk by

Our Chief of Cardiology
@RJAjr
is VERY excited for lunch today. But we are sad that
@PSimlote
is leaving us at the end of the month after general fellowship + her first attending position!
We wish her GOOD LUCK. We will miss you, Preya!
We love a good Thursday morning sim session led by our amazing critical care Attendings! Our first years got to hone their echo skills and even got to try their hand at engaging the coronaries in our state of the art sim center. Just in time for their first call!
Very nice

“Call is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re going to get.” This is what I kept hearing in my mind as I finished my first call of many as a cardiology fellow last night!

A very challenging case, presented today at the
@HoustonShockHSS
symposium by first-year fellow
@AHajduczok
, on behalf of the multidisciplinary shock team.
A lot of great pearls managing this patient with severe AI requiring VA-ECMO + Impella, and ultimately AVR/root repair.
Good way to start the day with an echo lecture from Dr. Cohen this morning. Starting with some fundamentals and working to more advanced topics. Cc
@DavidWienerMD
@AHajduczok
Great to see our fellows getting after that fitness outside the hospital. These gentlemen hit the gym at 5am before breaking a mental sweat later in the day. It’s all about that
