Blessed to be sworn in as City Council President next to Rachel and our four beautiful girls.
I’m excited to lead this great council for the next year and get big things done for the people of Jacksonville. The work starts now!
Proud to say I officially qualified to run for re-election today. Even prouder to have reached this milestone with TJ by my side. Looking forward to continued service to you, Jacksonville.
No better way to celebrate Father’s Day than sharing the anticipation of addition

to the Freeman Crew. Rachel and I can’t wait to meet our little BOY soon!

A big step forward today. Huge thank you to the awesome teams at

Jacksonville stands against hate and antisemitism. Proud to lead with Mayor
@lennycurry
,
@jsosheriff
& my colleagues in support of legislation to prohibit projections on buildings without permission from the property owner. We stand together as a united, consolidated government!
Evil has no home in this city! I am thankful for our first responders for their bravery and responding quickly to this disgusting attack in Northwest Jacksonville. Please join me in solemn prayer for the victims and their families.
Grateful to my colleagues for their support and vote as our city’s Council President-designate! I also want to congratulate my friend Ron Salem on his election as Vice President-designate. We are all one Council, one elected body and one team. Thank you!

Every night I pray for my oldest daughter Evie... for her mind, her body, her future husband, and her soul. This picture really speaks to me as a father. I’ll continue to be there for her and for each first step she takes.
What a day celebrating Rachel’s birthday! The girls and I did our best to make this Ga peach feel special. Blessed to call you my wife. Love partnering with you in raising four beautiful daughters.

My friend Tommy Hazouri embodied public service in our city. As a State Representative, Mayor, School Board Member or Councilmember - there aren’t many who could match Tommy’s devotion to Jacksonville. My prayers are with Carol and his loved ones today.
As your City Council President, I've fought to put every Jacksonville family first. We've cut taxes, balanced the budget, increased funding for our parks and prioritized public safety.
I'd be honored to have your vote again on March 21st!

Great day with students at the Episcopal School of Jacksonville sharing my journey in life and the role my faith played. Thank you to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes for having me.
This is an exciting day for Jacksonville! I commend Mayor
@lennycurry
, Mr. Khan, and their teams for working diligently on this important project. I look forward to working with my colleagues to get this project passed and help create jobs in our city!

“If we take our winning conservative message to every corner of this city, there is nothing we can’t accomplish!” Thank you
@DuvalGOP
for inviting me to speak at tonight’s Statesman of The Year Dinner.
In this coaching/mentoring journey it’s rewarding to see kids accomplish their goals! Austin is close to earning a degree from Vanderbilt and today was drafted the 5th overall pick in the 2020

What a day! Huge turnout for “Pack The Sack” at

. 3,200+ backpacks filled with supplies were distributed to local families. On behalf of Council Member Pittman and I, thank you to our sponsors and amazing volunteers! 🎒 📚 ✏️

Happy Birthday to my rock and anchor! We don’t get to spend quality time like this often but the memories last a lifetime. Enjoy your day and I love you!
I want to thank the coaches and players at Ribault for inviting me out to throw the first pitch. As always when speaking to the youth, I shared a message of hope and how athletics gave me safe places to play and grow into the man they see standing before them. Honored to serve!
It’s been 5 years since you transitioned from our presence into the presence of God. Thinking of you on your birthday. Grateful for the life lessons you taught me which I call on daily and I pray I’m as impactful in the lives of my girls as you were on me.
Big day for Jacksonville! I was honored to join kids from the Legends Center summer Camp to officially open the amphitheater at Lonnie C. Miller Regional Park.

I am so grateful for my outstanding medical team, my wife Rachel and our family, who are my rock. We are going to fight with every ounce of energy we have - and we will win.
Last night I had the honor of presenting Byron Robinson an award at the 2nd Annual Jax Met Gala, an evening celebrating black entrepreneurship and excellence. Please join me in congratulating this incredible leader and founder of the Better Dads Society.
Last night we lost our dear friend Tom Barry to Covid. It feels like it was just yesterday that Pastor Barry married Rachel and I in Neptune Beach. Please pray for him and his family. We will miss him immensely.
I’m a blessed man! Please notice two things: 1. Rachel with two girls in her arms walking the streets of NY 2. Lyndee sneaking her baby doll to the Lincoln Memorial.

What started as a conversation with a friend who grew up playing baseball in the community asking how it can be revived, has now grown to 40 kids preregistered and a partnership with a local nonprofit for 50 more. What a blessing! This is a free. Ages 4-12 preferred, all accepted
Great speaking with over 200 women tonight at the Albanian Mother’s Day Celebration. Enjoyed sharing how my 4 daughters are the driving force for me stepping forward to serve. I want all of our community’s children to choose Jax as the place they will raise our families.
Another day of service in the books. Thank you to
@Farmshare
, FHP, JSO, and the Jaguars for partnering with me in serving over 300 families today! Honored to serve.
It’s been 60 years since the darkest day in our city’s history. Today’s remembrance ceremony shines a light on the future we can prepare for our kids. We absolutely can and will do better. “The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice.”-Martin Luther King Jr
It’s always a pleasure to welcome the next generation to City Hall. Today I had the opportunity to speak with kids from a Summer program that specializes in coding. Big shout out to KHA and 100 Blackmen of Jax for their help in arranging!

is 100% treatable when caught early enough. Unfortunately, many men do not get screened and allow this disease to fester. Especially Black men, who are 2.5 times more likely to die from prostate cancer than white men. We can do better. We can save lives.

A shooting at a football game, a homicide last night, and now a mass shooting in Downtown. We cannot fall victim to this type of violence in our home. Please join Rachel and I in praying for the victims, the JSO, and the City of Jacksonville today.
Freeman family wishes all students returning to school a Happy 1st Day! Amazing how quick they grow up. Dropped my oldest at MS and my baby at K5 (with 2nd and 4th squeezed in the middle). Truly blessed to get that morning ride quality time with all of them.

What a special night. Congratulations to all of my fellow City Council and elected constitutional officers as we officially usher in a new term. It has been my honor to serve as Council President and a joy to welcome our new Council President Ron Salem into this role. 1/2
September is
#ProstateCancer
Awareness Month and I’d like to take this opportunity to encourage men in our community to schedule a prostate exam with your medical provider. Ask questions and educate yourself about prevention, screening, diagnosis and treatment.
It is important to me to be transparent about where I am with this diagnosis and acknowledge that I will miss Council meetings in the months ahead.
This is the same insidious disease that affected the quality of life for my Dad - but early detection is key to saving lives.
