The adviser is there to help and will not judge you or your farm. The idea is you and your TBAS vet can look at TB as an infectious disease and the recommendations are the start of an action plan to reduce your risk and length of a TB breakdown. @KingshayFarming @vetpartnersltd

There is evidence that wild deer can be a reservoir of TB in certain parts of the UK and can very infrequently be identified as the source of bTB in cattle. Visit the TB hub for more information #controlthecontrollable @KingshayFarming @vetpartnersltd

If feed is contaminated with excreta (urine, faeces, sputum, pus) from potentially infected badgers it could present a risk to a large number of your cattle. If you cannot eliminate badger visits to farmyards, consider other means of storing feed, for example in secure bins.

Did you know that badgers can access through gaps of 7.5cm or more? Over the housing period make sure all feed is being kept in places >1m high or use badger proof stores. This will ensure that badgers are not contaminating feed and will also discourage them getting in again.
