Just in time for the holiday season, the Thunder Bay Border Cats are excited to announce that the team will play their 2025 Northwoods League home opener on Wednesday, May 28, versus the Rochester Honkers at Port Arthur Stadium.

📢 Thank You, Border Cats Fans! 🐾 The Thunder Bay Border Cats ended the season with a 15-8 loss to the Waterloo Bucks in front of 1,135 fans at Port Arthur Stadium. Despite the loss, we finished over .500 with a record of 36-35 and 19-17 at home.

Congrats to Border Cats pitcher Max Ramriez IV (Niagara University) on being named to the Northwoods League Postseason All-Star Team. Max was also selected as an NWL All-Star and pitched for the Great Plains Division at the annual game in Mankato on July 23rd.

The Border Cats made it two straight wins on Friday night as they topped the Wausau Woodchucks 7-5. The win improved the Cats second half record to 15-12 and pulled them into a three-way tie for first place in the Great Plains East Division.

Tuesday was a big night for The Thunder Bay Border Cats at Wade Stadium in Duluth, Minnesota. The Cats came back to knock off the Huskies 4-3 and win the Superior Cup in the battle between the two rivals as Thunder Bay took a 7-4 lead in the season series.
