The Thunder Bay Border Cats played their first game in the Northwoods League since 2019 on Monday in Mankato and they made it a winning one with an 12-0 blanking of the MoonDogs at ISG Field
It's been four years since the Thunder Bay Border Cats played a home opener and local baseball fans came out in full force on Tuesday at Port Arthur Stadium as a crowd of 2,381 cheered on the Cats to a 6-3 win over the Duluth Huskies.

Mike Long (Maryville University) was a new arrival to the Thunder Bay Border Cats lineup on Monday night and the St. Louis, Missouri native made quite the first impression on manager J.M. Kelly and the 989 fans in attendance at Port Arthur Stadium.

The Thunder Bay Border Cats continue to prepare for the 2021 Northwoods League season and the club announced today their season opener will be played at home on Monday, May 31, when they welcome the St. Cloud Rox to Port Arthur Stadium.
The hottest team in the Northwoods League hit on the road on Thursday and the Thunder Bay Border Cats stretched their winning streak to seven games by doubling up the Lacrosse Loggers 4-2 at Copeland Park.
Former Border Cats infielder Andy Weber made his major league spring training debut Sunday in Arizona for the Chicago Cubs in their 7-3 Cactus League win over the Seattle Mariners. Weber replaced Cubs all-star Kris Bryant at third base during the game
