Overall, I'm mixed between the OG and Reissue. While the reissue offers dry brushing that has more of a balanced spread, I do really like elements from the OG, like the brighter red mouth and red gums. If I had to pick, the reissue is what I'm going with.

- Dry brushing on the legs of the reissue is more balanced with more coverage than the OG. - Dry brushing on the feet is also more balanced compared to the OG. - Claw paint varies in general. - Tail is painted the same as the OG with no dry brushing. This was corrected on the Minus Color and Heat Ray versions.

Dry brushing varies on the legs and feet. However, the spread and coverage seem to be mostly consistent. Claw paint on the feet does vary quite a bit. Unfortunately, there is no dry brushing on the tail between figures, which was corrected with Minus Color and Heat Ray versions.

I don't make the figures, but to answer your question, there's no mention of "Heat Ray" in any of the solicitation materials. It has been explained that this particular repaint is to emulate charging. It is an Event Exclusive that was made available in a limited capacity for SDCC guests, P-Bandai USA members, and the Tamashii Nations Store in New York.

And lastly, the clenched teeth Kong 2024 head! The paint on the head generally looks good. Shading on the beard is consistent. Shading on the top of the head can vary with coverage. Eye placement is consistent in photos 1-3. The 4th photos eyes are positioned slightly upwards. The silver tooth is painted the same between all of them.
