Great point, Prof. Modrak — and the fire marshal, despite the university's lies, never came to talk with us. We've been careful about safety, including and especially fire safety. The only thing that made us unsafe was the University and DPSS.
I told my dad, retired Pgh. Fire Chief, that "fire hazard" was the rationale to shut down the encampment. He said: "If we had a concern, we'd send a fire official during the day, they would speak with students, and they'd find a way to solve the problem." 1/2 @SantaJOno @umich.
