In Week 1, Mike McDaniel made an adjustment to how he used fast motion at the snap, and it allowed the Dolphins to get to concepts quicker and make life harder for the Chargers.
I went through the adjustment and how it looks different than last year:
Saints motion Kamara out of the backfield to get to empty from under center and Carr hits Olave on the in breaker. Klint Kubiak bringing the SF style to the Saints
Duke Shelley (20) is the 4th CB on that side this year (3rd this game), was waived by the Bears in August and joined the Vikings practice squad, was signed to the active roster yesterday, and came up with a huge PBU in OT
I watched, charted, and broke down all 400+ 2023 XFL kickoffs to see what we should expect from the NFL's new kickoff rule.
New blocking, creative plays, knuckleball kicks, all of the charting data, drawings, clips, and much more:
Maxx Crosby played every single Raiders defensive snaps for a second straight week.
He saw chip blocks and RB help but finished the game with 5 pressures, 2 sacks, 4 TFLs, and a pass deflection
I wrote about Kyle Shanahan's outside zone, keeper, and play action tags and adjustments that lead to points on Sundays.
Diagrams, descriptions, and clips to help break down what makes the 49ers offense so difficult to defend:
🏈 Sharing my playbooks/installs drive. I will keep the link public and hope that you share something to be added on. Thanks to those who have already added as we keep learning football accessible. Download and share as you please! 🏈
Jalen Hurts is playing like an MVP, again.
After finishing second in MVP voting last year, his passing numbers are up, and his film looks good. He is making tight window throws and dealing with the blitz.
I took a look at Hurts' 2023 season ⬇️
