This is why the Confed flag is so popular outside of the US. It has transcended, become a symbol of a pre-revolutionary social order. It is deterritorialised in the literal sense of the word. People who have never even been to the US see something in it of meaning for them.

Historically decontextualised quotes like these have only one purpose: to mentally disarm the nation's foundational people and make them feel shame for even existing. The quote was the reaction to a massacre if whites by a local Indigenous tribe. Understandably strong language.

And before some 'tard pipes up about "slavery". No, this has nothing to do with that. Same argument can be thrown back onto the North with its enslaved POWs, which was also shown in the film. Besides, the servants on Tara and Twelve Oaks had more human dignity than "Lizzo".

@ajtourville LMFAO. Mandela was convicted of conspiring to over throw the government in an effort to end apartheid. Trump was convicted of falsifying business records to mask paying hush money to a porn star he had an affair with in an effort to commit election fraud. They are not the same.

We live in an extreme left political environment - it's hegemonic and all embracing. In this context, "far right" simply means returning to some semblance of normality. So perhaps these elections weren't as good as some of us initially thought. But at least it's a good start.

It’s an unfair slur by the corporate media to describe the European elections as a swing to the ‘far right.’ ‘New Right’ preferable to describe: Euro skepticism Pro borders Anti woke Global warming scepticism Pro farmers Pro peace talks in Ukraine. #euro2024

*Apartheid* was abolished, yet *separation* with barbed wire, brick walls and electric fences (all working together) is now necessary for sheer individual survival. Almost like it wasn't all just "arbitrary" "bigotry" in the first place.

An interesting look at common security measures in South Africa for my international followers - an external steel palisade wall, barbed wire and electric fence didn't stop this unit in a complex from being hit. Even the bricks below the electric fence were removed.

Conservatives are also naive enough to demand thier opponents repudiate ID politics, despite the fact that ID strategies have always worked in undermining everything native, normative, conservative. It's effectively demanding uniletaral surrender of an enemy that keeps winning.

Best way to neutralise these based political leaders is to have them elected into government. It's the story of Boris Johnson, Donald Trump (1st term) and Tony Abbott (below). Great at barking up the tree, but aimless when they climb to the top.
